» March 8, 2006 – Annual Meeting

On Wednesday, March 8, EDEN management and board members convened for the agency’s annual meeting. The board of trustees selected new officers and acknowledged departing board members. Hank Gingerich and Annette Stevenson completed their terms as EDEN board members. They served the positions of president and secretary, respectively.

Anthony Thornton, the previous vice president, was named president of the board at the annual meeting. Barbara Burke will serve as both vice president and secretary, and Eric Laubacher will remain the board’s treasurer.

Staff and board members also discussed the forthcoming 2005 annual report and commemorated EDEN’s 15th anniversary.

» September 21, 2005 – EDEN Welcomes New Board Member
During the agency’s monthly board meeting, Elise G. Jancura joined the Board of Trustees as its newest member. Jancura is a retired Cleveland State University professor and holds a Ph.D. in Economics and an M.B.A. and B.B.A. in Accounting and Management from Case Western Reserve University. She has served as a board member for the Emerald Necklace Riding Association Therapeutic Riding Program, the Women’s Law Fund, and the Cleveland Area Citizen’s League for Nursing.

In her application, Jancura expressed interest in lending her experience to a nonprofit housing agency: “I believe that contribution to the community is an important obligation and that the issue of affordable housing for disabled persons is a worthy goal which I would like to support.”

» April 13, 2005 – Board of Trustees Officers Finalized
The following Board of Trustees positions were officially confirmed at the monthly board meeting: Henry Gingerich, President; Anthony Thornton, Vice President; Eric Laubacher, Treasurer; and Annette Stevenson, Secretary.

» March 10, 2005 – EDEN, Inc. Annual Meeting
EDEN held its Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 10 to commemorate 14 years in the community and to acknowledge current and past board members.

Mary H. Davis was honored as outgoing President of the Board of Trustees. Ms. Davis served on the board since 1995 and was President from 2003-2004. She accepted a plaque for her years of service to EDEN.

Donald Dalton received official recognition for his president emeritus status. Mr. Dalton served as the board’s president from 1991 until January 2003.

Jim Patton was also honored at the meeting. Mr. Patton was on the Board of Trustees from November 1996 until 2000, and he accepted a certificate of appreciation for his service.
