EDEN's programs and services are designed to help disabled individuals realize their full
potential. The agency offers permanent rental subsidies, temporary living assistance programs, and emergency rental assistance.
EDEN purchases, renovates, and leases housing units in Cuyahoga County. The agency currently owns 83 properties that contain nearly 300 housing units.
These units provide permanent housing opportunities for low-income persons with severe mental illnesses.
In addition to EDEN-owned housing, the agency administers several rental assistance programs that enable tenants to affordably access privately owned
housing units. Shelter Plus Care, a rental subsidy for disabled, homeless individuals or families, is EDEN’s largest program. Shelter Plus Care currently
serves approximately 1,400 clients.
EDEN also receives grants to assist eligible tenants in need of resources for moving, furnishings, security deposits, utilities, and emergency rental
funds.
The agency serves approximately 3,000 disabled Cuyahoga County residents a month. |
